For business owners with teams

You want to grow the business. You also want a life outside it.

But you’re still answering questions, sorting out team issues and doing things yourself because it feels quicker.

Watch the video to explore what needs to change so you can get on with your plans, take time away and feel more confident handling the people side of your business.

Being the leader of your business doesn’t automatically teach you how to manage people.

You might be very good at leading the work. You know your industry, you make decisions and people trust your expertise.

But leading the work and leading people are not the same thing.

Managing people means setting clear expectations, handing over responsibility, giving feedback, having difficult conversations and creating the conditions for people to take ownership.

It’s a different skill, and most business owners learn it as they go.

What changes when everything doesn’t have to come back to you.

Cath worked through the structure and process gaps behind repeated excuses and low accountability.

She gave me practical strategies to approach these conversations with clarity and confidence, resulting in greater ownership from my team without fear of conflict.

Program outcome · Six-week Curious Conversations program

Greater confidence. Better conversations.

Loving the Curious Conversations Program and the conversations and language we’re already beginning to have because of it. Thank you so much!

After completing the six-week Curious Conversations program, MPS noticed a shift in the language leaders were using. Leaders grew in confidence and started addressing conversations they had previously avoided. We also reviewed the organisation’s one-to-one process, and the changes were well received.

What would you like to be different?

  • Have time to work on the business, rather than spending the day responding to everyone else.
  • Hand something over without having to keep checking or finish it yourself.
  • Have the conversation without spending days worrying about it.
  • Take a day off and trust that things will be handled.
  • Or have someone to talk through the decisions with, so you’re not trying to figure everything out yourself.

What we work on

Fix what keeps pulling you back in.

When work keeps coming back to you, we use neuroscience and behavioural science to look at how the business is set up and how you respond when pressure hits. That includes responsibilities, decisions, standards and the conversations that support them.

01

State

How you show up when urgency, frustration or uncertainty pulls you back into the work.

02

Story

The assumptions shaping what you expect from your team and what you keep taking back.

03

Standard

What good looks like, who owns what and how consistently the agreed standard is held.

The Curious Conversations Framework

When a conversation is needed, Bec’s six-step framework helps you get clear, get grounded, share your perspective, bridge the gap, get courageous, then agree and anchor the way forward.

Six months of support

What the six months includes.

This is practical coaching for the situations already happening in your business.

Fortnightly one-to-one coaching

Work through live decisions, team issues and changes. Leave each session knowing what you’ll do next.

Short coaching support between sessions

Talk through something that needs attention before the next fortnightly session.

Monthly group sessions

Learn alongside other owners and leaders who understand what it feels like to be responsible for the business and its people.

Practical HR resources

Use guides covering the employee lifecycle, from hiring and onboarding to performance and people leaving the business.

Bring what is happening now. We’ll work out what needs your attention first and put the change into practice.

Book a Deep Dive Call

The pattern gets stronger every time you step back in.

Your team learns to wait for your answer. You lose more time to work that should sit elsewhere. Start by getting clear on where you still need to be involved and where your team needs to take over.

Book a Deep Dive Call

Your next step

What happens on the call?

We’ll talk about what’s taking up your time, the challenges you’re working through and what you’d like for yourself and the business.

You can ask questions and get a feel for how I work. If coaching looks like a fit, we’ll discuss the six-month program and investment so you can decide.

Questions before you book

What you might be wondering.

Who is this coaching for?

Business owners with a team who are still pulled into too many decisions, team issues and follow-ups. You want the business to grow without everything depending on your involvement.

Do I need to know exactly what the problem is?

No. Bring what keeps happening, what is taking up your time and what you want to be different. The Deep Dive helps us work out where to focus first.

What happens if coaching looks like a fit?

Bec will explain the six-month program, the support included and the investment. You can ask questions and make an informed decision from there.

What support is available between sessions?

You’ll have access to shorter laser coaching sessions for issues that need attention before your next fortnightly call.

What will I leave the Deep Dive with?

A clearer view of what is keeping you involved, what needs attention first and whether Bec is the right person to support you.

I’m Bec, a business and leadership coach. I spent more than 18 years working in people and change inside organisations, from startups to global businesses.

I work with business owners on the things that come up when you’re responsible for the business and its people. That might be a difficult conversation, figuring out who should be responsible for what, leading a change or working through a decision you keep second-guessing.

We work out what needs your attention first and put the changes into practice, with support along the way.
